If you are unsure about what your bridesmaids are actually supposed to do, or if you are one and want to know what you should do, here are some tips.
- Provide help for every aspect of the wedding, whether it is bridal shower planning, or honeymoon planning.
- Be involved in the bridesmaid’s attire. This includes helping the bride pick out the dresses, shoes etc. and buying your own outfit.
- Host the bridal shower or bachelorette party, or help plan and organize as much as possible.
- Keep tabs on all the details: attend every wedding related party, and even keep track of the wedding gifts at each event, so the bride and groom will be better organized come time for thank you notes.
- Be involved: this involves helping guests, whether it be making sure they know the layout of the reception hall, or dancing with those who are anxious to get out there.
- Handle the details: run all the errands on the day of the ceremony, aiding in any last minute needs to help the bride’s day go smoother. If the maid of honor is occupied, carrying the bride’s train.
- Purchase a collective gift with the other bridesmaids, so that together you can come up with the best present possible.
